Destinations

No two sunsets on the Emerald Coast are exactly alike, and neither are any two days. Along with award-winning beaches, you'll find several world-class attractions and family entertainment complexes here. You can get wild at the zoo, splash around at a water park, or interact with a live dolphin at the Gulfarium. Speaking of dolphins, dolphin watching cruises are very popular here, as are pirate cruises. Or you can discover the culture and rich history of the area at one of five museums. There are lots of ways to go Emerald Coasting.

Crab Island

Crab Island is one of the main driving reasons behind why Boating Magazine voted Destin “Top 10 Places to Live and Boat in the United States”. Due to eroding tides, Crab Island is now an underwater sandbar and only accessible by boat.

Once anchored up, there are plenty of activities to keep you and your family entertained, with snorkelling, relaxing on the boat, and exploring Crab Island Waterpark that offers slides and trampolines for the kids. The floating food vendors will mean you never have to leave.

Destin Harbor

The City of Destin's Harbor Boardwalk stretches nearly a quarter of a mile along beautiful Destin Harbor, providing increased access to the waterfront and preserving the harbor’s unique character.

The boardwalk project was completed in June 2012 and is the vision of the 2003 Harbor Community Redevelopment Area Plan. It includes new decking and pavers, landscaping, lighting and seating. Multiple property owners along the harbor participated in the project to add continuity along the harbor with easy access to local fishing charter boats, great restaurants and a multitude of water activities.

Dolphin Excusions

Jump in and have some fun snorkeling the emerald green waters of Destin! Then take a cruise and look for dolphins and other marine life along the coast. We provide all of your snorkeling equipment. Grab your family and friends and join us for a fun time on the water!

Let us do all the work while you have all the fun! Our private trip is great for small groups that want to enjoy all the different aspects of Crab Island without having to learn how to drive a boat. If you rather, we can go cruising around the bay looking for dolphins or enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise. The options are endless with this private cruise!

Dive Adventures

Come and dive the beautiful waters of the Emerald Coast.  The most popular SCUBA diving begins just a few miles from the Destin East Pass.  Unlike anywhere in the Panhandle of Florida, Destin is unique in that the limestone outcroppings begin just a few miles off the beach, and are covered with soft corals, sponges, game fish, and an abundance of tropical fish.

These ledges are also home to shovel-nose and spiny lobsters.  The reefs range from 2-8 feet in height at a depth of 82-95 feet.  The observant SCUBA diver will also notice many types of shells and the photographer will be surprised at the magnificent macro photography and underwater scenery.

Florbama

The most famous beach bar in the country, the Flora-Bama Lounge, is located famously in Orange Beach, Alabama and Perdido Key, Florida. It has long been a landmark of the Gulf Shores community and provides live entertainment 365 days a year. As the home of the Bushwacker, The Flora-Bama has thousands of family members from around the country and the globe. Our guests are our family and we enjoy seeing them once a year or every day.

The Flora-Bama has five stages for live music and features bands of country, rock, dance and beach music. You can relax in any of the areas and select the entertainment of your choice. If you need a little away time the Flora-Bama has several beach-front bars where you can sip on a famous Bushwacker and enjoy the beautiful sunsets on the water. Bay Towne Wharf

Located along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay in Northwest Florida, The Village of Baytowne Wharf features an array of boutiques, eateries, galleries and nightlife -- not to mention a jam-packed schedule of outdoor festivals and special events for the entire family.

This spectacular setting, all within the gates of Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, is the perfect spot to spend a vibrant afternoon, evening, week, vacation, or you can be one of the lucky few who frequently experiences Baytowne Wharf through home ownership.

Florida Keys

Teeming with activities for visitors of all ages and interests, the islands of the Florida Keys make for a classic Florida vacation and include famous destinations such as Key Largo, Islamorada and, of course, Key West. Your time in the Florida Keys can be as action-packed or as relaxed as you desire. Adventure-seekers can test their skills on a fishing charter. Get up close and personal with tropical fish on a snorkel trip, or dive to explore a famous Florida Keys ship wreck.

Visit local art galleries and museums. Shop for unique gifts. Feast on fresh seafood at fine Florida Keys restaurants. Hang with the locals or just hang on a hammock. Simply unwind and let go with the outgoing tide. You will be, after all, on island time.

Bahamas

The roughly 700 islands that make up the Bahamas lure millions of visitors to their white-washed shores, duty-free shops, fishing and scuba diving excursions and luxurious accommodations each year.

Families that flock here tend to indulge in the diversions of Atlantis Bahamas and other mega resorts, but this diverse island chain also offers a range of activities away from the hotel zone. It's no wonder why the Bahamas has become a popular vacation destination.

Siesta Key

Located on the pristine shores of the Gulf of Mexico, across the bay from mainland Sarasota, Siesta Key is the perfect destination for a holiday, a season, or a lifetime.

Whether you’re visiting for a week, planning to relocate, or a long-time resident of our beautiful barrier island, this place has everything you’ll need to make the most of your time in this little piece of paradise.

Miami

Miami is one of the state's – and the world’s – most popular vacation spots. Though destinations often are said to offer something for everyone, the Miami area offers multiple enticements for everyone: The trendy nightlife of South Beach, bejeweled by the eye candy of the Art Deco district.

Seemingly endless shopping opportunities in modern, sprawling malls and the quiet, personal attention offered by the family-owned shops of Coconut Grove and many other corners of the region. The lures of deep-sea fishing and golf and tennis.

Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale is famous for its beaches, arts, culture and events. From shopping on Las Olas Boulevard, to gondola rides on the canals, to a historic riverfront. Just two miles north of Port Everglades, you can experience Fort Lauderdale's landscaped beachfront promenade, with its signature white wave wall and brick paved path.

Across the street, visit luxury hotels, and enjoy Fort Lauderdale shopping or dining or a narrated 90-minute amphibious tour of quaint Las Olas Boulevard, historical districts, and the mansions and yachts dotting Millionaires Row.

Grand Caymanns

With over 50,000 residents, Grand Cayman is approximately 76 square miles. It is on Grand Cayman that you will find some of the most popular Caribbean activities, attractions, and festivals, including the popular Pirates Week and the colourful and exciting Batabano.

Other popular attractions include the Cayman Islands National Museum, Rum Point, Pedro St. James, Bodden Town, the first capital of the Cayman Islands, Cayman Turtle Farm, and the National’s Trusts Mastic Trail, a 2 mile traditional footpath through unspoiled woodlands.

British Virgin Islands

The British Virgin Islands, or BVI for short, are some of the most exclusive and least developed islands of the Caribbean, but this only adds to their appeal. The resorts, villas, restaurants and other tourist attractions in this paradise are known to emphasize spare luxury over sprawling expansion, and they attract travelers with deep pockets and a love for sailing and seclusion.

Many travelers who visit come by ferry boat from another Caribbean isle, especially as some find opulent exile too hard to enjoy for longer than a day or two. And some say it's better to split your time between here, the nearby U.S. Virgin Islands and Anguilla to the east.
